    What Are Minerals?

Minerals are mined from around the world, purified, & crushed into fine powders.
Loose mineral cosmetics are the most natural makeup available.
Liquid foundation manufacturers add water, oil, waxes, petrochemicals, synthetics, and fillers to the mineral colorants. They also add dyes and other preservatives.
Mineral cosmetics don't require preservatives, or any irritating ingredients.
Mineral makeup is not easily contaminated because it is not organic and does not support bacteria well.
It is also very good for those who have allergies or skin problems such as eczema, rosacea or very irritated or sensitive skin.
Mineral colors are made of pure iron oxides, not artificial dyes.
Minerals have pure natural pigments that will blend easily and provide superior coverage that is healthy for your skin due to the lack of cheap fillers.

What are Mineral Cosmetics made from?

Mineral makeup is made from naturally occurring minerals such as titanium dioxide, mica powder, serecite and iron oxides that have been used in cosmetics for thousands of years.
Mineral make-up is ideal for sensitive skin and is suitable for all skin types.

Sandra's minerals are fragrance free, oil free, cruelty free and contain no fillers, synthetic dyes or preservatives.
With mineral powders, there is no risk of spoiling or oxidization.
Minerals reflect the light, instead of absorbing it like other liquid cosmetics.
Minerals will give you a soft healthy glow, not a made up of makeup look.

    Titanium Dioxide:

    • This is a natural anti- inflammatory agent and a natural sunscreen.
    • You still may want to use a sunscreen to prevent sun damage.
    • Titanium can help reduce irritation and redness.

    Zinc Oxide:

    • This mineral is a naturally occuring sunscreen.
    • When added to makeup, it provides natural resistance to harmful UV rays.
    Iron Oxide:
    • A naturally occurring mineral used for creating color.
    Serecite:
    • This is a colorless mica.
    • It is also used in setting or finishing powders.
    • It looks white in color, but goes on clear & adds to the water resistance and fade proof qualities of  makeup.
    Kaolin Clay:
    • Kaolin is a very mild fluffy clay which is safe for all skin types including dry, sensitive skin.
    • It has great covering ability, is able to absorb fats from the skin, refines pores & helps clear up breakouts.
    • Kaolin has soothing properties and is ideal for sensitive skin.

What if I have problem skin?
If you have sensitive or acne prone skin, and have had bad experiences with cosmetics in the past, then natural pure mineral makeup is for you. Mineral Cosmetics are perfect for a range of skin conditions including oily skin, acne, rosacea, sensitive and dry skin. Mineral foundation has the best coverage of any cosmetic on the market. Your skin can actually improve with regular use of mineral makeup. Minerals will soothe inflamed skin, and give you superior oil control. Using Mineral makeup can help to improve your skin. Loose mineral foundation has micronized Titanium Dioxide. This naturally occurring mineral also blocks harmful rays from the sun. All loose mineral powders can be used as eyeshadow, eyeliner, lipgloss, blush & nail polish. Mineral Foundation can be used as a concealer, powder, and sunscreen. Mineral Veil or Finishing Dust will absorb excess oils when used alone or over foundations.

How do I apply Mineral Makeup?
Begin with clean bare skin and a good quality mineral makeup brush. Start with a small amount of minerals in the jar lid, dip your brush and swirl into the lid until the minerals are absorbed into your brush. Tap brush on side of jar to remove any excess minerals. Or tap the handle of brush onto counter so the minerals go into the bristles. Start with clean dry bare skin, if you applied moisturizer, wait until it has been absorbed completely. Blend the minerals around your face until you have the coverage you want. For smaller area's use a contour brush and apply minerals under eyes and around nose. Blending foundation with a small brush around nose will help to conceal large pores. Then do the same with your finishing powder. Finally apply the blush in the same method to your cheeks. For best results Apply in light layers and use a different brush for different minerals.

    Should I Wash My Brushes?
Yes, you should clean them about every 2 weeks. Clean your brushes by using a mild facial cleanser or baby shampoo. With soapy water in the palm of your hand, gently swirl the brush around until it is clean. Rinse thoroughly under warm running water. Squeeze out any excess water. Fluff and reshape the brush. Place brush on a flat surface with bristles hanging over the edge to air dry.
